Healthy Buildings
How to improve health and wellbeing in your existing commercial properties

The launch of the The WELL Building StandardTM, and the growing interest around its alignment with BREEAM, shows there is an appetite among commercial property owners and tenants, for creating healthy buildings that improve the health and wellbeing of occupants, alongside established sustainability considerations. Examples from around the world demonstrate that healthy buildings can improve the productivity of staff while increasing the value of the building, making it more attractive to new and existing tenants.

However, while the benefits of healthier buildings are understood, there is still a lack of understanding of how to implement health and wellbeing strategies and solutions, particularly in operational buildings.

The Healthy Buildings event will explore the health and wellbeing agenda from the landlord and tenant perspective and the challenges for implementation. Most importantly it will describe the practical steps owners and tenants can do to improve buildings within their existing budgets through improved thermal comfort, air quality, lighting and biophilic design.
